Master Sergeant Edford Luckey,
I joined the US Army at the age of 19 on September 9, 1975; I served honorably in the Infantry for 21 years. During my 21 years of service 2 of my sons joined the US Army and the youngest one joined later. I retired in October of 1996 and started teaching at Alamo Heights High School in July 1996 (I took my vacation time to start early). I had several jobs in the military and I was assigned a number of places around the world. Fort Polk, Louisiana 1975-1977 – Berlin, Germany 1977- 1980, Fort Benning, Georgia 1980-1985 Drill Sergeant, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii 1985-1989, Trinity University and St. Mary’s University, San Antonio 1989-1994, 2ndInfantry Division in Korea 1994-1995, Fort Hood, Texas 1995-1996, Alamo Heights High School, San Antonio, Texas 1996 -2015
